A person’s final moments are usually filled with intentional moments of precision. Last words will have lasting impact and this is the case with Jesus and his followers. The Upper Room discourse of John’s gospel provides an intimate look at Jesus’ care for his friends in the final days and hours. Jesus is still making them into disciples, and he is now preparing them to be disciples after what happens at the cross. Holy Week is the sacred journey leading up to Easter, marking the final days of Jesus’ earthly ministry, His sacrifice, and ultimate victory over sin and death. It begins with Palm Sunday, when Jesus entered Jerusalem as the promised King, followed by Maundy Thursday, where He shared the Last Supper and demonstrated servant-hearted love. Good Friday is a solemn remembrance of His crucifixion and the depth of His sacrifice for our redemption. Holy Saturday holds the quiet anticipation of resurrection, culminating in Easter Sunday, where we celebrate the risen Christ and the hope of new life in Him. Through Holy Week, we walk with Jesus, remembering His love, His suffering, and the victory He secured for us all.

This meaningful evening of worship is being led by our Table community and will reflect the heart of Maundy Thursday through creative and intentional expressions of worship. As we remember the Last Supper and Jesus’ command to love one another, we will gather to reflect, pray, and prepare our hearts for the journey to the cross.
