Join us in this 4-week study during Advent as we prepare our hearts for the birth of Jesus Christ and incorporate prayer using Protestant prayer beads. Each we will discuss those who were close to the Lord during this time - Mary, Joseph, the shepherds and Simeon. We encourage you to bring your own prayer beads but if you do not have a set, we will have some available for you. Childcare will be available upon request.
The Redemption of Scrooge Advent Series begins Wednesday, November 30. Join us on Wednesdays at noon in the Asbury Room for the Brown Bag Bible Study. We will be exploring the classic Dicken's novel making connections between the story of Ebenezer Scrooge and the story that Christians tell during Advent and Christmas. The 4-week study looks at the four main parts of A Christmas Carol: the opening and visit of Marley's ghost, the visits of the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come. We will draw from the past, present and future important truths about brokenness and redemption, and the Advent themes of peace, hope, love and joy.
