PARENT CUE Resources for Parents

Posted by Bryan Moore on

We know that when we combine the two biggest influences in a kid’s life—their parents and the church—we can make a bigger impact than we ever could have done on our own. We can do so much more together, and that’s why we want to provide you with these resources to help you connect with the heart of your child or teen throughout the week.

  1. PARENT CUE EMAIL

These weekly emails will keep you updated on everything from what your kid or teen is learning at church to any upcoming events. We have Parent Cues for the preschool, elementary, middle school, and high school phases. You can also pick up a hard copy at the Parent Resource Walls located in the Children's area and Youth Area.

Here's an example of a Preschool Parent Cue:

  3. DOWNLOAD THE PARENT CUE APP

Parent Cue connects you with practical things to read, do or say to help you engage with the heart and faith of your child each week. Download the app at http://theparentcue.org/app/. Available on the App Store for iOS devices.

  4. MEET YOUR KID’S SMALL GROUP LEADER

This is the person investing in your kid or teen each week, and they want to get to know you!  Small Group Leaders (SGL's) are a vital part of our ministry to kids and students at FMC. We believe every kid needs another adult voice in their lives saying the same thing their parents are saying. And we believe kids need a place they can know, and be known by, someone in the church. SGL's are that voice speaking God's love and truth into your child's life.

SGL’s are also here to help parents! If your child is struggling with something, let their SGL know how they can help. If your kids are celebrating something big, let their SGL know so they can cheer them on!
